Paper making (2023-ongoing)I create recycled paper from paper and fabric scraps and sew the pieces together.

PapercraFt & Shadow Boxes (2019-2023)I have an ongoing series of shadow boxes created from cut watercolor inside of 18"x22" boxes.
I also teach Paper Magic classes that explore pop-ups and paper mechanics, creating creatures with moving limbs, paper-based stop motion animation, and origami story telling. |
Trifecta Poetry ProJect (2018)In 2018, I printed a limited edition set of 3 illustrated poetry books. Each book is one poem long and there is a postcard to accompany each book. The idea is that these poems can be savored and shared.

scaredy cat & shapeshifter (2017)Scaredy Cat is a character enacted through illustration, objects, story, costume, dance, and performance. Scaredy Cat's worry bag holds the big feelings and stories of them and their allies. Scaredy Cat is afraid of the dark.
Shape Shifter represents the cognitive distortions that come up in Scaredy Cat's life. Shape Shifter takes many forms. Together they travel through places where emotions are stuck in time. Scaredy Cat is working on making friends with Shape Shifter so that they can overcome shame and live fully as their authentic self. |
Dinosaurs (2016)I designed these 4-piece friction-fit dinosaurs that I laser cut from cardboard boxes. These were displayed in a gallery at the University of Wisconsin as well as part of a show at the Monona Public library where they were hidden around the library. I also made a tutorial with the pattern on Instructables.

HARD RESET (2016)In 2016, I designed an interactive installation to explore and deconstruct learned inhibition. The exhibit imagines rolling back a personal clock to a time when one might not have hesitated to draw on the walls.
|
True Stories (2016)In 2016 I did an artist residency at the Madison Public Library with the ArtWrite Collective. We collectively designed an interactive painting. When the sections coated in conductive paint are touched, it plays recordings of people talking about what community means to them.

Our QUESTIONS (2015)Over the course of 2015, I interviewed people to collect "dumb" questions so that I could overcome a fear of asking questions. In exchange for giving me a question, I gave people cookies stamped with a question mark. I had a couple of exhibits showcasing the questions and now they are available for you to look at online.
